I've been following local @thewhiitehouse on Instagram for a while now and when I heard that she was opening her studio to the public with ceramicists, Lynne & Jenn of Mud + Stone, I knew I had to go! Cadence, aka @thewhiitehouse, is your go-to gal here for wood creations and restorations, specializing in mid century furnitures. One of her most successful collaboration is with Mud + Stone when they created those ceramic mugs with wood handles which were practically sold out all the time. So, it was just a perfect match when these two decided to share a studio space. Located at the 4th floor of 290 McDermot Ave, the place welcomes you with impeccable natural lighting and wide spacious surroundings. Everything you see is for sale: from the ceramics, Turkish blankets, house rugs, ethically-sourced woven baskets, potted succulents and restored credenzas. I left the studio not only with a gorgeous Turkish blanket, but also with the experience of sharing laughs, hugs and stories with Cadence, Lynne and Jenn.
