Two pieces of Fried Chicken: cold smoked & buttermilk battered, hot sauce

Lamb Meatballs: mint & olive chimichuri, goat cheese

Sticky Eggplant: puy lentils, curried cauliflower cream, squash, pickled cucumber, harissa, spiced peanuts, cilantro

Let me first say, yes, we got a decent amount of snow even though its spring but you know, that's Winnipeg for you! That also didn't hinder me and the boy from having a date at Deseo Bistro. The infamous chef, Scott Bagshaw, has produced a menu influenced by his exceptional culinary training, worldly travels and extensive kitchen experience. With its rustic ambiance, the restaurant presents dishes in small plates (tapas style), perfect for romantic or group dates.
At the end of the night, the boy and I found ourselves so full and satisfied with the food we had. It doesn't come as a surprise that Chef Scott has had a following and that Deseo Bistro remains to be on top of the Winnipeg restaurant scene.
