With the snow melting and the daylight getting longer, it was about time I headed to the Shelmerdine Garden Center (just a few minutes outside the city). I've heard of Shelmerdine a couple of years ago from local blogger, Daphne, and I told myself to finally head there this spring. A good friend accompanied me there and we ended up spending hours inside their huge greenhouse: taking ootd pictures, eating lunch at their garden cafe, checking out their lifestyle boutique and picking out an easter plant for my room.

Shelmerdine is a one stop shop for all your gardening needs. Their greenhouse offers a wide array of annuals, perennials, shrubs, succulents, cacti, herbs and seasonal flowering plants. Whether you have a green thumb or not (like me, haha!), they have knowledgeable staff to help you out in picking the correct type of plants for your home and to guide you in how to take care of them. Their quaint little garden cafe offers affordable but fresh soup, sandwiches and baked goods to cater to your appetite. And just before you leave, stop by their in-house lifestyle shop that carries all sorts of items from home decor, scents & fragrances, selected food products, fashion apparel and leather goods. It can be quite a trek to go here but as you can see there are so many things to experience. I'm literally planning my next trip to Shelmerdine, that's how much I love this place!
