One weekend, a friend and I decided to wander around and check out some new winter spots in the city. One notable structure is that modern igloo piece at the Forks downtown, where I had my ootd taken. Designed by Anish Kapoor (same person behind Chicago's cloud gate), the ice sculpture named the Stackhouse is a contribution to Winnipeg's yearly warming huts exhibition. Each block from the magnificent structure was made out of water sourced from the Red River.
Isn't it impressive?
We decided to warm up with some tea at Joy's Tea, located in the heart of the Wolseley neighbourhood. I specially loved the gorgeous interiors of this new spot as you can see in the photos. They are open late as well, which is good news to people who prefer their tea over coffee.
Overall, it was a great day discovering new things in the city, something I haven't done in a while!

Found myself wandering around the Wolseley neighbourhood to check out the latest hang out place here called Verde Juice Bar. Only three weeks in, this spot has been creating a buzz among locals with their cold pressed juices, smoothies and acai bowls. I went on a very humid day so the Rise and Shine smoothie was the perfect choice for me. Aside from refreshing drinks, you can't deny that their interiors look so cool with all the succulents, wood furnishings and light fixtures. With my initial visit to Verde Juice Bar, I highly recommend everyone to check out this hidden gem in the city.
