For one of my holiday get togethers, I decided to check out Sous Sol. This new restaurant at the Osborne Village serves French cuisine & craft cocktails experienced in a speakeasy ambiance. Hidden in the basement of an old building & 'masked' under the Vandelay Industries name, it's quite an interesting spot to find and discover. The interiors look spectacular as you might have seen in the pictures. The food does not disappoint as well (ordered tomato & crostini to start, lamb & steak as entrees and dauphinoise potatoes as a side). It's also good to note that they don't take reservations so I recommend getting here early during their operating hours of Friday to Sunday (5pm to 2am). Sous Sol is definitely a promising dining destination this coming year.
