It was a pretty busy weekend for me back here in Winnipeg with all the spring events happening. I basically checked out everything from bike auctions, local pop up markets, art gallery exhibits and even made it to a birthday celebration at a local microbrewery. All of those, plus the fact that we had SNOW over the weekend! How about that for April showers, hahaha!

Anyway, a quick breakdown of my little vlog below includes highlights from,
- Coffee & Brunch at Forth
- Winnipeg Art Gallery's Art in Bloom -
- Friends Get Together at Peg Beer Co.

There's been news that a Winnipeg-based coffee roaster was to set up at the Exchange this year. With some digging through Instagram, I found Forth, who currently is in "soft open" mode at 171 McDermot Ave. Even though Forth is not in full function yet, I was astounded by the way the space was renovated and designed. As soon as you enter the heritage building where it resides, you are greeted by a cafe and a selection of curated local goods available for purchase. The mid section of this open style facility has the roasting equipment and testing/tasting room specifically built for Dogwood Coffee Co. The back part is made up of a spacious area designed for those wanting to lounge around, study or possibly host a social event. The basement houses the LKAP gallery and a future (still under construction) cocktail bar. Just for the cafe alone, it's worth to check this new place out. It definitely is exciting what Forth has in store for Winnipeg's coffee scene.
