there's a good and bad side to bold colours and patterns (such as what this sweater has)

the good is that it stands out, it makes a statement and it spices up an outfit instantly

the bad is it's so memorable that styling it is difficult when you want to avoid repeat looks

what are your thoughts on these kinds of pieces?

i decided to paint my nails with this black-blue shade from revlon

hopefully, this will be the last dark shade i'll put on my nails

can't wait for spring & summer to rock brighter coloured polishes!

so i have a bit of a travel dilemma. this year, i really want to maximize my vacation days at work and try to visit a couple of places. i'm quite positive i'm heading to Los Angeles to meet up with some relatives. i was planning with a friend to go and see Paris come summer time but something came up and now she can't go with me. now i'm not sure if i can find someone willing to go with me or if i can actually do it on my own--first time. there's another option of visiting NYC again (i don't mind that because i'm just totally in love with the city). or maybe go somewhere else that is less "tourist-y" for a change.

as you can see, i'm quite overwhelmed. i know it's still in the summer but i really like being able to prepare ahead of time for vacations. (wait, maybe i can just get those last minute deals, eh? aaahhh! too many options!?). what do you think? should i just push thru to Paris with or without a companion? or go for NYC since i know i can manage it alone? maybe you guys can also suggest other nice places to visit during the july-august period.

As I'm typing this, I think I'm on the verge of getting the flu. Again. I totally hate it!! I used to get sick maybe once a year or once in 2 years. But this year hasn't been going so well in the health department (got sick for 2 weeks in January). It's either I'm getting old already that's why my immune system is not cooperating or this whole flu virus floating around is insanely "powerful" that it keeps on coming back. I just hope this doesn't push thru and I can fight it off with some healthy food and exercise.
